CryoSat- 2 Blasts Off To Measure Polar Ice

CryoSat satellite has finally blasted off to take accurate measurements of the Earth's polar ice caps and should be able to determine accurately ice thickness and speed and rate of melting in both the Arctic, Antarctic and Greenland ice caps.If global warming is melting the ice, we will soon know for sure, by what extent.
