Massive Ice-Berg Breaks Free From Antarctica

An ice berg the size of Luxembourg has broken free from the Antarctic continent, and is drifting free near Australia. The chunk of ice may have broken free as a result of global warming, but scientists are more concerned that its presence could interfere with the deep water current, which may effect the Gulf Stream, preventing warm water/air from reaching the UK.

UK Met Office To Re-check Climate Data

The Met Office will look again at 150 years of climate data to ensure that the predictions made by scientists are accurate, particularly the IPCC´s forcast that “warming of the climate system is unequivocal”.

Methane Level Greenhouse Gas Fears

Scientists are increasingly concerned about rising levels of methane gas, which is around 20 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as far as its global warming potential is concerned. The frozen Arctic, which holds massive amounts of methane could be a ticking time bomb, as the ice melts releasing tonnes of the gas into the atmosphere, causing further warming, and further melting of the ice and so on..

NASA and Global Warming Science

Cut straight through the smoke and mirrors of climate change and check out the facts at NASA... the graph showing Global Land- Ocean Temperature Index clearly shows the warming trend that has occurred since 1880, and confirms 2009 as the second hottest year on record..... at the same time as solar activity was at its lowest as the sun dwells in deep solar minimum with low sun-spot activity.

Quote Used To Discredit Climate Scientist is Fabricated

Sir John Houghton, eminent climate scientist and author of Global Warming: The Complete Briefing, is alleged to have "sexed up" scare stories on global warming by saying "Unless we announce disasters, no one will listen,"

He denies ever saying this, and according to another author and climate skeptic Christopher Booker, Houghton was supposed to have stated this in his own book, which was first published in 1994. The comment does not appear in Houghton's book however, or the later edition, and he denies ever saying it... Seems to be a case of climate skeptics jumping on false comments to support their own skeptical agenda.

Arctic Sea Ice Loss Accelerates

Scientists who spent an entire winter in the high Arctic on board a research vessel are now concerned that the Arctic could become ice free in the summer by 2013-2030, much sooner than previous climate models suggested.
